Project Spotlight

MSB manages the Wisconsin Solar Use Network (WisconSUN) on behalf of the Energy Center of Wisconsin with the aim of increasing the number of effective solar energy, particularly photovoltaic, installations in the state. WisconSUN has awarded over $120,000 worth of grants for solar energy systems.

MSB staff lead collaboratives in reducing barriers, such as interconnection issues, develop marketing and educational activities and provide technical and institutional assistance.

Developing screening models to evaluate the economics of PV systems under different ownership options.

Compiling a comprehensive business description for a green-power program. The plan included such design elements as service concept, technology choice, target market, marketing strategies and strategic alliances.

Working to improve the interconnection requirements for small renewable energy systems.
